PHISHING Nowadays is becoming the most popular way to steal the credentials of an individual. Since past years, while opting for online methodologies, we have been dealing with serious data crimes.

EMAIL PHISHING is the method where an Email seems to arrive from a known source. However, because of a known source, you are not able to recognize the mail. It may cost you to lose your personal information, thus, harming the organization's reputation. 

What do you need to take care of while dealing with Emails?

1. Never reply to spam emails.

Replying to such emails can indicate an active email to the hackers. Therefore, they can find different ways to spoof your information.

Always refer to the email address from which you are receiving the mail. Check about what domain it belongs to and is it the genuine email referring to that organization.

3. Always Check what Salutation is preferred while writing an email.

Usually, organizations use your name to greet your presence. Salutation like Dear Customer, Account holder, Dear Student represents Phishing email. With moving technology, you all need to get more careful while dealing with your data.

4. Always refer to what info you get through the email.

Never trust those emails that demand you your money, and promise to get it refunded after some time. Organizations never discuss such things in emails.

5. Never Click unwanted links or docs present in Emails.

Unknowingly Clicking it may result in the installation of harmful malware into your system. Your single click can make those hackers access all of your credentials. It can be your ids, Cards' details too.

To avoid this, always try to visit the genuine website and perform the operation from there.

6. Always refer to the format in which the email is written.

Bad grammar is a common point to indicate phishing emails. Never fill any form attached to the mail until and unless you are sure about the sender.

7. Never make payments through websites that are not SSL encrypted. 

SSL certificates promise to keep your payment details secure and act as an enemy for Hackers. By using SSL, your details convert into random codes. Thus a person who doesn't have access will face difficulty to crack the code and reading that information into the network.

8. UPDATE: Nowadays new Phishing technique has been introduced. 

An email containing some link is forwarded. Now clicking that link will redirect a person to the login page of any social media. 
The login page that arrives, in reality, is not the actual login page of the relatable social media. Instead, it is the duplicated form, designed as a copy of the original page. As soon as you log in through the details, The hacker is nowhere with your login credentials. He will now read the details of the person you are linked with hence, using your name to look forward to the crime.
