Introduction to MS SQL Server

Data is the collection of basic facts and information. The database is the collection of an organised collection of data stored in an electronic format. So to interact or manipulate the data, we require a language known as Structured Query Language. There are different versions of SQL present, which is provided by different organisations.

MS SQL Server has been developed by Microsoft. It is a relational database management system (RDBMS). It is built for the basic function of storing, retrieving data as required by other applications. It can run on anything from one computer to across a network of high-powered cloud servers. It is a highly scalable product. It is a software product.

Microsoft-SQL is one of the most popular database management systems in the world. It is one of the most used databases in the world.

MS-SQL 1.0 was released in 1989. Its core function is that of RDMBS. SQL Server 2016 includes many built-in features like a Business Intelligence tool and a range of analysis and reporting tools. It is on top of the database management tools because of its database creation, backup, replication, security and more.
